Fabulosa canción. Una autentica pasada. Con una introducción de 7 minutos!!!...muy poquitos son capaces de ello. Sólo un genio como Michael Kiwanuka puede realizar un tema tan impresionante. Cold Little Heart está incluido en "Love & Hate" (Polydor Records, 2016), segundo álbum de estudio del artista inglés.

Episodio 167: Man on the Silver Mountain

El pasado domingo 16 falleció víctima de un cancer de estomago Ronald James Padavona, más conocido como Ronnie James Dio o simplemente Dio. Sin duda una de las voces más emblemáticas del Heavy Metal. Toda una leyenda, formó parte de algunas de las grandes bandas del género. Su carrera como vocalista comenzó con Elf, grupo apadrinado por Deep Purple con quienes realizaron varias giras como teloneros. En 1975 Ritchie Blackmore abandona Deep Purple para formar junto a Dio y varios miembros de Elf otra gran banda de rock llamada Rainbow. Juntos grabaron grandes himnos del rock.
En 1979 Dio sustituye a Ozzy Osbourne como cantante de Black Sabbath, grabando dos discos de estudio y un directo. En 1983 forma su propia banda (Dio) con la que publicó una docena de discos.



Ufff!!!!, podría poner infinidad de canciones de este cantante y grupos a los que perteneció, pero he decidido poner dos del álbum debut de Rainbow ("Ritchie Blackmore´s Rainbow" (1975)). Un disco que el otro día estuve escuchando y que siempre me trae grandes recuerdos. Al igual que las bandas mencionadas en la entrada, pues crecí escuchándolas y forman parte de mi sancta sanctórum particular. Poco a poco irán sonando en "My Old Record Player". La primera ha sido la que da titulo al post, la segunda es una hermosa balada titulada "Catch the Rainbow".
